The president has repeatedly promised to be a “land of opportunity” for people of all backgrounds.
But his administration has been dogged by controversy and allegations of wrongdoing.
On Tuesday, he was asked by reporters to respond to a question about the controversy surrounding his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who was charged with battery last week after a woman accused him of grabbing her breasts.
Lewandowski has denied the allegation, and the president has declined to address it.
“You know, I don’t know the answer to that question,” Trump said.
“I think we have to look at it.
I think we’ve got to look into it, and I think everybody’s gonna look into that, and we’re gonna look at that.
We’re gonna talk about it, you know, all of you.
We’ve got a lot of work to do, and it’s gonna be very difficult.
I can’t imagine that the Democrats are going to be able to do a good job as president, because I think they’re very weak and they’re not going to get it done.””
And I will say this.
I can’t imagine that the Democrats are going to be able to do a good job as president, because I think they’re very weak and they’re not going to get it done.”
