RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Raleigh newspaper business is about to get a boost.
The owner of a national newspaper chain is buying the Raleigh-based Raleigh News & Daily, which owns more than 150 papers nationwide.
The News &s; Daily will pay $10.2 million for the company.
The paper’s shares have been up more than 5 percent this year.
The company has been in a steady decline since it was spun off from News <d.
in 2011.
A News &ams; Daily spokeswoman says the company is working on a merger with a smaller company.
